One of the most demanding jobs I have ever done premiered in March 2005 after I spent more than 4 months working full time on it to get everything ready.

I did three gargoyles in ordinary slush latex in HUGE plaster moulds. Afterwards I wished I had decided on some other material as I cracked my back handling the 70 kilo mould and was limping around for week.

I also did the body under structure for two of them in foam.

"Lumiere" is of course an important character in the musical. I did the head piece and hands with reinforced latex

We faced quite a lot of problems with his hearing but luckily I could cut a slit under the "drop" on the sides so he could hear again.

M. Darque was a big challenge as I only had 6 minutes to get him ready. An old time horror film trick came in handy and I pulled his eye down with a thin strip of lace.
